In 2008 I lost my job. I then bought an RV and went on a three year road trip that took me to all of the lower 48 states, to 5 provinces in Canada, and I spent 3 months in the winter in Mexico. I then returned home for my 50th birthday in June 2011. This blog is a record of this amazing road adventure and I hope you enjoy every mile of my trip. OH how I love flowers and Tulips can't be out done. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteTerry is in Oregon right now but I forget where.
As you travel further north, check out San Juan Island. Leave on the ferry from Anacortes WA and land 1.5 hours later in Friday Harbor, SJI. Walk/drive up Spring Street. Visit South Beach. Drive to Lime Kiln park and watch the whales.
ReplyDeleteJo, yes tulips are some of the loveliest flowers.
ReplyDeleteJan, thanks, that sure sounds like fun.
There's another great tulip festival every spring in Pella, Iowa, just east of Des Moines on SR 163.

Also if you are traveling North to Anacortes, there are hundreds of acres of tulips and spring flowers. You must go to La Conner, which is the tulip capital in the country. We produce more bulbs than any where else. And you will love La Conner. Sandy
