The World's Only Corn Palace, Mitchell, South Dakota (click here for more info)

Since1892 the Corn Palace has been decorated every year with murals made out of 12 different colors of corn and framed with native grasses, straw, and grains. There is a different theme every year and this year the theme is transportation. During the summer you can watch the work being done on the murals.

    Oh boy, the corn palace...

    Hey, I wonder if thats popcorn? Maybe on a really hot day, that place could be quite entertaining!

    They have a post card just like that, it's black and white. It says something about the weather report saying temps went up and it shows a pic of the palace with corn popping all over the place :-)
