In 2008 I lost my job. I then bought an RV and went on a three year road trip that took me to all of the lower 48 states, to 5 provinces in Canada, and I spent 3 months in the winter in Mexico. I then returned home for my 50th birthday in June 2011. This blog is a record of this amazing road adventure and I hope you enjoy every mile of my trip. Reminds me of a book I read, Snow Falling on Cedars by one David Guterson about Japanese residents on the Washington coast - worth a look if you like a read from time to time. Some of the book occurs in an internment camp - otherwise I wouldn't have known about them.
You know, every time I post pictures of one of the camps (this is my 4th and headed to the next one soon) someone always tells me about that book. It must be good. I'll have to find it soon, I'll love to read it.
