Captain Clark Days at Pompey’s Pillar National Monument in Worden, Montana (click here for more info)

Two days of entertainment, history demonstrations, interpretive activities and a buffalo barbeque, with free admission and free overnight camping.

The only remaining physical evidence of the Lewis and Clark Expedition is found at Pompeys Pillar. Captain William Clark carved his name on the butte on July 25, 1806, and it can still be seen today.

  2. It is very cool, you'll love it. I was totally out of breath when I made it to the top of the butte, but it was worth it. Lots of steps to get up there.
